Today, Sydney buses went on strike.
I've come back to the office today and folks have been asking me if marriage has changed me.
Given that I've only been married a little more than a week, I've this to say - YES! I'm much fatter now than I was a week ago.
I have to acknowledge a number of identities.
- My parents who have raised me and given me everything I needed and then some; including my two brothers.
- My brothers, with whom I have a love-hate relationship. More love than hate. And the hate is more like the usual sibling peskiness.
- My sisters-in-law, one usher and the other a last-minute matron of honour... Thanks, gals!
- My friends, especially those who came specially across continents, to attend my wedding.
- My church friends, who had unselfishly given up their time to help make my wedding in church really classy.
- And my in-laws, who have lovingly accepted me into their family.

I love my gown. Love it. If I can wear it to the office, I will. That's how much I love it.
- The tea ceremony dress cost me about $30 for fabric & accessories and no end of stress. But I love the colours.
- My gown... What can I say? I love it, love it, love it. All up it cost about $500 and several trips to Cabramatta where I practised no wedding diet. Thanks, Leigh!
- The bling has been my juicy secret since my trip to Guangzhou with Mum. Less than $100. Excluding airfare & accommodation :o)
- And a last-minute outfit. It had been a gift from my mum-in-law to Mum. Mum thought it would be nice for me to surprise everyone with it at the reception. And I did.
